The 45/55 Principle

Patients find it very difficult to decide where to go for plastic surgery. The prominence of advertising, experts on TV, websites and referrals from friends mean patients are often unsure how to tell the good from the bad from the brilliant.

With any element of our lives, it is clearly always going to be better if we go to an expert. Of course, all surgeons claim to be experts. But are they? The human body is an incredibly complex machine and understanding it takes many years of training, courses, re-education and research. After qualification for the prestigious FRCS (plast) surgeons can perform any number of cosmetic procedures. However, a very small number decide to focus very specifically on one area. Patrick Mallucci is one such surgeon. Mr Mallucci decided to focus his work , research and expertise on reconstructive and aesthetic breast work.

As part of this work, Mr Mallucci undertook an amazing piece of research.  Mr Mallucci set out to find what people perceived as “The Perfect Breast”. Using feedback from a large group of people, men and women, a picture of the perfect breast was built. This is now known as the 45/55 principle in respect of the relationship between the volume of the breast in the upper/lower pole. This now gives Mr Mallucci a blueprint of the ideal outcome for his patients who want for example breast augmentation. Mr Mallucci believes a natural breast is the result most patients want and his work on the perfect breast has resonated with patients and surgeons all around the world. It was presented extensively on various continents and won awards on the international stage. It is work such as this which sets Mr Mallucci aside from general plastic surgeons who do not focus on specific areas of the body in such finite detail.

Mallucci London is now the new home for Mr Mallucci and The Perfect Breast. Mr Olivier Branford, the co-author of this ground breaking piece of research, is also based exclusively at Mallucci London. All the surgeons and practitioners at Mallucci London focus on their own specific area. Why go to a generalist when you can go for a specialist? There are so many places doing laser hair removal. It is rare to find one where the practitioner takes such care with every patient. I would wholeheartedly recommend Kully.

NM, London – Laser Hair Removal

I have met with Kully several times. I can honestly say she has nothing but the patients welfare in mind. Her experience with CoolSculpting is fantastic.

GM, Cheshire – CoolSculpting

Jonquille is a delightful lady. Very patient focused and very experienced.

PM, London – Fillers and Botox

Thomy listened to my concern and there wasn’t any form of pressure throughout the whole process. Thomy was realistic about what can be achieved and I defiantly felt in safe hands. It has been pleasure to meet Thomy she defiantly stands to her well-deserved incomparable reputation.

A, London – Hair Transplant

I suffer from super sensitive skin and Kully recommended a product which has helped me to see a real difference, I feel my skin health has improved and is stronger in its own kind of way. She also recommended laser hair removal which I was a little hesitant about initially, especially given the sensitivity of my skin. However I have seen a significant difference and feel like I don’t have to worry about my hair anymore. Kully genuinely cares about the best interests of her clients and her gentle, reassuring bedside manner has always made me feel like I’m in the safest pair of hands. I trust her implicitly!
