Can blood really be ‘boooo’-tiful? With our micro-needling ‘blood facial’, the results are exactly that! Our advanced DermaFNS (micro-needling) is an electronically powered needling device, that delivers insertions of tiny needles directly into the skin. These multiple needles vertically pierce the skin, rather than roll into it, meaning it does not scratch or catch on the surface for maximum results and minimal downtime.
When micro-needling creates surface damage on the skin, the skin then goes through a wound healing process, which then has an effect on dermal layer (depth of the skin), as well as the epidermis (surface of the skin). Even though these wounds are minimal, collagen production results from this process. Each tiny wound then goes through three classic phases of healing:
1. Inflammation
2. Proliferation (tissue formation)
3. Tissue remodelling
Blood vessels are ruptured, allowing new blood cells and nutrients to get into the surrounding tissues. This reaction is automatic and produces a surge of activity that inevitably leads to the production of collagen and new skin cells, as well as stimulating elastin that will help the skin become more rejuvenated and smoother.
Post procedure your skin will have minimal to medium downtime, depending on the initial skin concerns and condition. Your skin will have inflammation after the treatment and will feel like sunburn for a few hours. Skin will become dry over the following few days and will begin to flake off, revealing a smoother texture to your skin.
We would recommend a hydrating day cream with antioxidants to keep skin feeling adequately nourished. Your results will continue to improve for up to 6 weeks post treatment revealing a radiant, renewed and beautiful complexion.
